A ‘NOT-TO-BE-MISSED’ event. The Glen’s Vintage Festival is just that… a festival. On the Friday, tens of thousands of fans will line the main street to see the start of the reenactment of the original WG Grand Prix. Over the 6.5-mi course, some 200 vintage cars will cover the same terrain as the legends of the great era of GP racing.
The festival includes car rallyes, car shows, a concours event and lots of festivities.
On Saturday and Sunday, all of the action takes place at the main raceway (one of the most challenging) for real vintage racing action.
This will also be the occasion for an Allard Owners Club Reunion. This will bring together a number of Allards from all over N. America. At least some 3-6 different models participate. An Allard ‘grid’ will be formed on the main street for the reenactment. It will be led by an Allard J2X MkII, driven by Roger Allard. On Saturday, this group of Allards will do 3 parade laps around the main raceway at lunch time. A once in a lifetime event… not to be missed.
